The PACS 32 Invitational for the current 8 Ball session (Spring ‘23) is going to be held over the course of (3) weekends at Angie’s Diner in September. The first two weekends of the tournament will be only the round robin portions (Friday night, Saturday AM, Saturday Afternoon). The final weekend will include the round robin portion of the final board and will also include the single elimination rounds played Saturday night and Sunday until a champion is crowned. There are pros and cons of running the tourney over three weekends. One huge advantage is that without the expense of renting pool tables and a venue, the payouts will be much larger. Weekend One. Friday evening Sept. 8, Saturday AM / Afternoon Sept 9
Weekend Two. Friday evening Sept 15, Saturday AM/ Afternoon Sept 16
Weekend Three (Final weekend). Friday evening Sept 22, Saturday Sept 23, Sunday Sept 24
NOTE…IF YOU PLAY ON ONE TEAM THAT IS PLAYING IN THE TOURNAMENT, YOUR TEAMS BOARD WILL ONLY PLAY ON ONE OF THE ABOVE WEEKENDS. THE ONLY WAY THAT YOUR ONE TEAM WOULD PLAY ON MORE THAN ONE WEEKEND IS IF YOUR TEAMS BOARD IS DESIGNATED TO PLAY IN ONE OF THE FIRST (2) WEEKENDS AND YOUR TEAM ADVANCES BEYOND THE ROUND ROBIN IN WHICH CASE YOUR TEAM WOULD THEN ADVANCE TO THE SINGLE ELIMINATION ROUNDS BEGINNING SATURDAY EVENING SEPTEMBER 23.
This is not necessarily the way we will be doing things going forward but we are going to try it and see what format the players seem to like the best.
